Recent updates and trends in MENA FAST

This month brings a major update in the world of FAST in MENA: Samsung TV Plus launched in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt with 20 channels.

Here are more details about the new and dropped channels:

• STARZ ON: They added 3 channels, including one focused on the Olympics, providing a new way to follow the competition (for free): Destination Paris.

• Shahid: The streaming service of MBC also added 3 channels. One great addition is MBC Gaming, which features live broadcasts of the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

• Samsung TV Plus: A dedicated lineup for the region with 20 local and international channels. Find more details at the end of my article.

• Weyyak & Rotana: Both removed 1 channel each.

• Tarfeeh TV: Currently not available. The last count in June was 22 channels.

No changes to report from other platforms. The good news is that the total number of removed channels this month is quite limited.
