Micro-streaming in MENA
If you’re new to micro-streaming, here’s a quick overview:
Micro-streaming apps are built around ultra-short episodes, usually around 1 minute each. A full season typically includes 60 to 100 episodes, made for fast, mobile-first viewing.
The format is designed to grab attention with vertical video, high drama, and cliffhangers every few seconds.
An important question for all of us: how do these apps make money?
Most follow a freemium model: watch a few episodes for free, then unlock more by watching ads, using coins (earned or bought), or subscribing.
What kind of stories can you watch? Fast-paced and emotional, mainly romance, fantasy, revenge, and thrillers. The goal is to keep you watching, one short episode at a time.
