⚽️ Thmanyah Review: The New Home of Saudi Football
What works and what’s missing on the platform streaming the Saudi Pro League in MENA
Hey streamers! Thmanyah is live, but is it really the platform Saudi football fans were waiting for? 👇
Saudi football started to change in 2022, when Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) took control of 4 big clubs: Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Ahli.
The goal? Turn the league into one of the world’s top 10.
In December 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr and gave the league global attention. By summer 2023, more stars arrived: Benzema, Kanté, Neymar, and others.
SSC (Saudi Sports Company) and Shahid (MBC Group) had the rights since 2021. But now there’s a new player: Thmanyah, a Saudi podcast company backed by SRMG, is moving into live sports.
Their first big test? Build a streaming platform from scratch to show 4 competitions: the Saudi Super Cup, Roshn Saudi League, King’s Cup, and Yelo League. The platform went live just in time for the new season, which kicks off this Thursday.
In this article, I’ll review Thmanyah’s new platform: how it works, its features, streaming quality, community tools, content lineup, and subscription model. And of course, my take: what works, and what’s missing.
