This newsletter is sponsored by Cognacq-Jay Image (CJI), one of Europeâs leading service providers in the media industry.
When I meet a Tech provider, I always ask the same question. Do you have clients in MENA? CJI didn't even flinch and I understand why: They support beIN Media Group with their OTT platform beIN Connect. The FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year is now part of their best practices: 51 live channels & Catch-up available in 24 countries on Android, iOS, PC and Mac. CJI didn't even flinch for this major event and successfully reported simultaneous streams records.
For decades, Cognacq-Jay Image has been supporting media and telecom companies, content owners and broadcasters, with the management of their video content, adapting it to every screen and with the expansion of their audience. They recently launched a service to create and monetise FAST channels, leveraging their proven experience, a personalized approach and their expertise focused on monetization.
OcĂ©ane, Jean-Paul, Alexandre & Philippe will be in Cannes for MIPCOM in 2 weeks. You can book a time slot with them below đ
Why MIPCOM will be different this year
Let me tell you first what is MIPCOM. It means âMarchĂ© International des Programmes de Communicationâ or in English âInternational Market of Communications Programmesâ.
This content event is dedicated to the Television and OTT industry, and is attended by representatives of streaming services, broadcasters, television studios, independent providers and media professionals who use the event as a marketplace to buy and sell new content and formats for international distribution. At least, this is what MIPCOM was about, for many years.
This edition, MIPCOM wonât be only about content. Technology and Advertising company should also be around, sharing expertise and learning from each other. Several panels, conferences and events will be dedicated to FAST and AI. Itâs another proof that MIPCOM is trying to bring all the TV and Entertainment Executives around the same table: Content, Tech & Advertising.
I also had a quick look at the company directory and I found several Advertising and Media agencies, Content Technology providers, FAST Solutions and Connected TVs that will be attending the event in 2 weeks.
Here is the trailer of the event, it will give you an overview of what you can expect this year:
