One Badge 3 Markets
MIPTV - The Marché International des Programmes de Télévision - launched in 1963 in Lyon with 119 companies from 19 countries. The Spring International Television Market quickly moved to Cannes in 1965 and is expecting this year thousands of delegates from 76 countries, including 135 exhibiting companies and more than 1,200 buyers.
Next year, MIPTV will be replaced by MIP London. As Lucy Smith, Entertainment Division Director RX France said âIt had never been the case of relocating MIPTV, which was intrinsically tied to the city of Cannes. But rather acknowledging transformation in the industry and an already-busy events calendar that needed action and consolidation.â
